Mobile phone number verification via One-Time Password (OTP) is mandatory for authentic real-member accounts.
Family Tree Consent
You must have explicit permission before adding living family members, relatives, or personal details to trees.
Mutual Privacy
Phone numbers & private details are masked by default and require mutual consent for visibility.
1Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to SamajUnnati ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our mobile application, website, pre-launch waitlist, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not register, access, or use the platform.
2Mobile Phone & OTP Verification Service
SamajUnnati requires a valid, active mobile phone number to authenticate users via One-Time Password (OTP) SMS verification:
- Verification Authorization: By entering your phone number, you authorize us to send automated SMS containing verification codes to verify your identity.
- Carrier Charges: Standard messaging and data rates imposed by your mobile network operator may apply.
- Security & Non-Transferability: You are responsible for keeping your OTP codes confidential. One account is permitted per verified mobile number.
- Automated Bot Prevention: Any attempt to bypass, automate, brute-force, or spam the OTP gateway will result in instant IP and phone ban.
3Family Tree Mapping & User Content
SamajUnnati allows users to build visual family trees, document lineage, and upload photos or community posts:
- Consent for Living Relatives: You warrant that you have obtained explicit consent from any living person before adding their personal details, phone number, or photo to your family tree.
- Content Accuracy: You are solely responsible for ensuring the historical and genealogical accuracy of information you add to the community database.
- Ownership: You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant SamajUnnati a non-exclusive license to store, render, and display your tree node data to authorized family connections.
4Privacy Controls & Mutual Approval
We uphold a strict privacy-first architecture. Unverified users or strangers cannot browse private branches of your family tree. All relation links and contact visibility require mutual request and approval.
5Prohibited Activities
- Impersonating another person or creating fraudulent accounts for non-existent individuals.
- Scraping, harvesting, or extracting member phone numbers or personal directory data.
- Posting abusive, hateful, defamatory, or inappropriate content in news feeds or stories.
- Attempting unauthorized access to backend API endpoints or database nodes.
6Pre-Launch Notice & Service Changes
SamajUnnati is actively rolling out pre-launch features across Web, Android, and iOS. We reserve the right to modify, refine, or temporarily pause features as we scale platform performance and security infrastructure.
